·         Oversight of the College’s academic and student computing systems and environment.

·         Establish policies, procedures, priorities and goals for the Information Technology department.

·         Maintain security of networks and all sensitive information systems therein.

·         Additional duties as delegated by the Provost and President.



System Administrator. Solely responsible for four separate servers running various operating systems:

·         Cobalt Raq Server: Built on Linux.. Administer Conferencing On the Web for Online Teaching at Piedmont College. Web Master for various departmental and student web sites. Run CGI scripts for Academic Progress Reports. Piedmont College, 1996-Present

·         RedHat Linux Server: Administer WebCT for the entire College. Create, maintain, backup, restore online courses. Create, maintain, update user accounts. Piedmont College, 2000-Present.

·         Windows NT, 2000, 2003, 2008 Server: Administer SimNet 2000 and MYITLab for online education courses in Computer Information Systems. Create, maintain, backup, restore online courses. Create, maintain, update user accounts. Administer FrontPage web sites giving access to an Informix database to users through an ODBC connection. ·         Sun Solaris Server: Administer Informix 4GL on Solaris Sever. Administer Web Server. Create, maintain user accounts and directories.
