As part of Piedmont University’s School of Arts & Sciences, Political Science majors will complete a well-rounded liberal arts education that emphasizes critical thinking, as well as an ability to choose a position and, through research and presentation, support that position. Political science majors must complete 15 hours of required coursework, as well as 18 hours of electives.
The pre-law student must satisfy all general education requirements as well as the major and minor requirements in his or her chosen area of study to be awarded an undergraduate degree from Piedmont University. Law schools generally do not specify a particular undergraduate major as a preliminary preparation for legal education.
No matter the age, governing is never easy. And, through study at Piedmont, you will gain an appreciation for how systems and policies are constantly changing – while also circling some consistent themes through time. You will also look at how modern politics is shifting and what might be in store based on our understanding of the past and present.
