First Year Students

First-Year Students are students who have been out of high school for less than five years and have not enrolled in any college courses with the exception of dual enrollment courses.
We are excited that you have decided to attend Piedmont! To confirm your spot at our university, please complete the steps in the checklist below by the appropriate deadline. As a reminder, you will need your Lions account to complete a number of these tasks.
Application Deadlines:
Application Deadline for Summer Semester: May 1
Application Deadline for Fall Semester: August 1
Application Deadline for Spring Semester: December 1
Application Requirements:
- First Time in College GPA: 3.0
- If GPA is falls below, please submit one of the following supplemental documents.
- SAT and/or ACT scores
- Teacher or Counselor Recommendation Letter
- One page essay on why you want to attend and how you plan to be successful.
- Transfer Student GPA: 2.5
- Test Optional
- If GPA is falls below, please submit one of the following supplemental documents.
Checklist to Being a Piedmont Lion:
Complete a FAFSA – Piedmont’s FAFSA code is 001588.
If you don’t want to complete the FAFSA, you can complete the Institutional Aid Application.
If you are an International or DACA Student, complete the International Aid Application.
NOTE: This may take up to one week to be processed.

The deadline to set up a payment plan is July 15; the deadline to pay in full is 10 days prior to the start of classes.
