Deal to bring hits by country greats to Piedmont’s Arrendale Ampitheater

Come kick up your boots as Piedmont University welcomes the community back to campus by presenting Real Deal Country with Katie Deal at 7 p.m. on August 7 at the Arrendale Amphitheater in Demorest.

Deal and her five-piece Nashville band will lead a fun-filled evening of entertainment celebrating the music of country music greats. Featured will be songs made famous by Dolly Parton, Patsy Cline, George Jones, Loretta Lynn, Linda Ronstadt, Reba McEntire, and more.

Award-winning entertainer Katie Deal has performed to sold-out houses across the U.S. and Canada. A Gainesville, Georgia-born artist and a Piedmont alumna, Deal is best known for her authentic country sound. She is the 2016 recipient of the Georgia Country Artist of the Year Award and an honored member of the Atlanta Country Music Hall of Fame.

As a recording artist and singer-songwriter, Deal has written and/or performed with top Nashville songwriters: Bruce Burch (Reba McEntire,) Amanda Colleen Williams (Garth Brooks,) Brandon Bush (Sugarland), and John Driskell Hopkins (Zac Brown Band.) She has opened shows for country legends John Conlee, Sammy Kershaw, Collin Raye, B.J. Thomas, and Country Family Reunion (Bill Anderson, Jeannie Seely, T.G. Sheppard). Deal has performed with country icon Loretta Lynn and is also a frequent guest vocalist with the Atlanta Pops Orchestra.

Deal and her band were selected to be the featured entertainment for GPB’s Gala Event honoring Brenda Lee in 2019.

Off the stage, Deal serves as the Alumni Director at Piedmont University.

Arrendale Amphitheater is an outdoor venue at 359 College Drive that seats up to 350. Attendees are encouraged to bring a blanket or chair. The concert will be held rain or shine.

Nonrefundable tickets cost $20 per person with general seating. Concessions will be available for purchase.

Purchase tickets online or call (706) 776-0146 for more information.

Proceeds benefit the Piedmont University Lions Share Fund.
