At Piedmont, our undergraduates develop their potential and leave us better educated, more confident, and qualified to meet the challenges ahead. They become successes not JUST because of what they learned in the classroom, but also how they pursued their interests, grew new friendships, and learned about what it takes to be part of a thriving community. Lions know the strength is in the pride. Join our pride today.
Academics
Despite our size, Piedmont offers a wide range of degree programs (over 70), including a world class Fine Arts department. And Piedmont graduates routinely go on to advanced degrees from institutions such as The University of Georgia, Emory University, Duke University, Vanderbilt University and more. Meanwhile, our expanding field of graduate degrees offer you a leap forward in your professional success. It’s no wonder that 94% of Piedmont alumni rate their academic experience as good or excellent.

Campus Life
College life is about way more than what happens in the classroom. And Piedmont students enjoy our university’s idyllic campus locations – including our main, 300-acre residential campus in Demorest, nestled amid the Appalachian foothills. Meanwhile, our satellite campus is situated in the heart of downtown Athens, just blocks from restaurants and entertainment venues. At Piedmont, you’ll find everything you’re looking for.

We make it easy for you to apply to Piedmont University. We also make it easy to obtain financial aid. It’s part of our commitment to our student body. Because we know that if you’re worried about your finances, you’re not going to enjoy the full Piedmont experience.
Athletics
Lions athletics doesn’t just compete in 22 different sports – we excel at them. With 33 NCAA postseason appearances (and counting) and 92 conference titles (and counting), Piedmont University teams are routinely battling for glory. We also take pride in our facilities and offer top of the line training and gameday venues. In short, it’s great to be a Lion.
Fine Arts
Piedmont University has a mission of honoring and furthering pursuit of the arts like few other institutions. 20% of our undergraduates participate in music and ensemble performances. We also hold the distinction of being an All-Steinway School, and our facilities are world class, including the Swanson Center for Performing Arts & Communications, The Arrendale Amphitheater, The Smith-Williams Art Studio, the Piedmont University Chapel, and the Mason-Scharfenstein Museum of Art. Meanwhile, The Lillian Smith Center enriches the lives of artists and writers. At Piedmont, the arts are our passion.
