Theatre Arts

Why Pursue Theatre Arts?
Some people are driven to perform, some are driven to facilitate and empower others to perform. Theatre is as much a part of the human experience as physical art and music – and all our lives are better for it. At Piedmont University, we believe in the power of theatre, and that is why we will foster your love of theatre, raise your performance abilities, and show you everything that goes into this art form – both on stage and behind the scenes. By actively participating in all facets of theatre production, students develop performance, technical and analytical skills.
Our faculty also realizes that not everyone who loves performance is destined for a life on stage, so we encourage our students in all their studies – knowing that many theatre arts majors are successful in law school, mass communications, public relations, and other fields. That is why we make various degree programs available, as a theatre degree shows a mastery of reading, writing, speaking, and research skills – all facets sought by prospective employers and professional schools.
