Why Consider Laboratory Science?
A degree in Laboratory Science can provide a student with all of the necessary tools to enter the workforce upon graduation. The program involves completion of laboratory work in the areas of chemistry and biology. In addition to this, students will also be trained in scientific writing and basic statistics.
Classroom and laboratory activities are designed to introduce and reinforce the skills, equipment and procedures used in laboratories, research, and industry worldwide. Students will work both in teams and as individuals to learn the necessary problem-solving skills that will make them successful in industry.
The small student-to-faculty ratio, especially in the upper-level classes, provides students with greater faculty interaction and instruction, more hands-on learning, and greater in-person use of equipment and instruments.
