Congratulations to our May 2021 Graduates!
The Spring 2021 Commencement ceremony will take place on Friday, May 14, 2021. The 10 a.m. ceremony is for undergraduate-level students, and the 2 p.m. ceremony is for graduate-level students. Both will be held in the Johnny Mize Athletic Center.
Students participating in the 10 a.m. undergraduate ceremony and 2 p.m. graduate-level ceremonies will receive tickets for two guests. Both ceremonies will be held in the Mize Center, and no one under the age of 18 will be permitted.
Each guest will need to show proof of a completed vaccination prior to May 1 or proof of a negative COVID test dated no earlier than May 10 for admission. All attendees will be required to wear a mask and to social distance.
The measure was approved by Thomas A. “Gus” Arrendale III, Chairman of Piedmont’s Board of Trustees, and the institution’s COVID-19 Task Force today.
“Our students have been incredibly resilient throughout the academic year,” said Piedmont President James F. Mellichamp. “We are delighted that our health landscape has improved, which paved the way for shifting our attendance policy for this milestone occasion.”
