Drama Education
Why Pursue Drama Education?
For several students, getting the chance to perform on the stage – in front of peers and parents – is the highlight of their day. For some it is the highlight of their school career. And the ability to teach those students about performance and push them to new heights is both rewarding and fulfilling. Serving as the school drama teacher is an unforgettable experience, and, at Piedmont University, we can teach you how to connect with young minds and bring out the best in their abilities and understanding of performance.
Piedmont’s drama education program provides courses leading to state certification for teaching drama at the PK-12 level. Beyond that, it prepares you for a career that stokes your creative (and even competitive) fire and allows you to light that spark in the next generation of drama students.
