CAMPUS OPERATIONS SUSPENDED FRIDAY, JANUARY 23 AND MONDAY, JANUARY 26

In anticipation of severe inclement winter weather, Piedmont University will suspend on-campus learning Friday, January 23, and Monday, January 26, for the Demorest and Athens campuses.  Online classes will also be suspended. Faculty will assign take-home work for students to complete both days.

Demorest and Athens campuses will be open on Friday, January 23, for faculty and staff until 2pm.  However, campus operations in Demorest and Athens will be suspended on Monday, January 26.

Campus Police, Residential Life, and Facilities will be on campus and available to serve students.   Chartwells intends to maintain cafeteria operations on a modified schedule at this time.

This is a significant weather event, and we expect widespread extended power outages.  We urge all students who are able to go home to do so.
