Maughon, Sandra

Sandra Maughon joined Piedmont as an adjunct professor in 2000, becoming full-time in 2015.  She enjoys teaching a variety of courses including management, project management, operations, and quality.  Her professional experience includes a broad background in management and education including professional positions at IBM and North Georgia Technical College as well as owning and operating The Christmas Shoppe in Helen.  In the classroom, she employs a variety of strategies for applying abstract concepts to real-life scenarios.  She is actively involved in the community, using her connections to forge bonds with local businesses who, in turn, welcome Piedmont students as interns.
