Drema Montgomery received her BFA in ceramics and drawing from the University of Montevallo in 2011 and her MFA from the University of Georgia in 2016. She has been nationally and internationally shown and creates paintings and sculptures exploring toys and play's proto-religious and psychological foundation. Under the pseudonym of Nicole Deal, she has created commercial illustrations for companies including Simon & Schuster, Record (Brazil), and Macmillan Publishing House. Professor Montgomery has also worked on major international marketing projects for IPs, including The Invisible Life of Addie LaRue by V. E. Schwab and Cassandra Clare’s Shadowhunter Series.
