Are you curious about what makes criminals tick? Do you want to know how crime scenes are processed and evidence is analyzed? Do you love mysteries and discovering why things happened? You’re invited to join the Department of Criminal Justice and Forensic Science for the day, participate in a hands-on mock crime scene investigation, and explore the facilities used by our students. You’ll also enjoy a tour of Piedmont University’s beautiful campus, nestled in the foothills of the North Georgia mountains. Whether you’re interested in becoming a crime scene investigator, forensic scientist, law enforcement officer, or another justice-related career, this event offers a unique opportunity to discover where your future could begin.

Who and When

This all-day event is designed for high school juniors and seniors interested in exploring careers in Criminal Justice and Forensic Science. Participants will spend the day on Piedmont University’s campus engaging in hands-on forensic science and criminal justice activities, processing mock crime scenes, participating in field exercises, and learning about the academic and career opportunities available within these exciting fields. Students will have the opportunity to hear from admissions as well as interact with current students. Parents are welcome to attend the event and the parent Q&A session. Parents can also join their students on the campus tours offered that afternoon.

What to Bring

Participants should wear something comfortable and be prepared for indoor and outdoor events throughout the day. Closed-toe shoes are required.

Cost to Attend

$25; includes registration, lunch, and a t-shirt.
