ArTime is a summer experience that gives high school students the opportunity to explore their artistic voice and prepare for collegiate-level creative study. Whether you are considering majoring in art or simply want to spend a week expanding your skills and creativity, this program offers hands-on instruction from emerging art educators and studio artists. Students will create portfolio-ready work while exploring multiple media in a college studio environment.

Enrollment: Limited to 18 students to ensure individual attention
Daily Schedule Highlights:
• Drawing & Painting Workshops: Develop foundational techniques and explore narrative and expressive approaches.
• Ceramics & Sculpture: Learn hand-building, form development, and three-dimensional design.
• Jewelry & Small Metals: Build foundational techniques while developing craftsmanship and functionality.
• Portfolio Development: Assemble work that stands out in college applications.
• Creative Conversations: Learn about pathways to college art programs, careers in the arts, and studio practice.
• Public Exhibition: Conclude the week with a student art showcase for family and friends.
Instructors:
Kolton Gant – Sculpture, Mixed Media, and Art History
Kolton, graduating in May 2026 with a degree in Art Education, specializes in sculpture, mixed media, and art history. His work derives imagery and symbolism from medieval art to make pieces about the modern world. He works to help students develop personal meaning and cultural significance in their artworks.
Carley Fitzpatrick – Painting, Drawing, and Visual Storytelling
Carley, graduating in May 2026 with a degree in Art Education, specializes in painting, drawing, and visual storytelling. Her work is a focus on southern culture and how it relates to the female experience. She helps students build meaning in their work through visual language and to develop their own artistic voice.
