Welcome back! Here at Piedmont College we never want to forget the importance of the past when looking toward the future. Alumni Relations plays a key role in keeping alumni involved in campus life and celebrating their continuing successes. Be sure to stay connected with fellow alumni as well as your alma mater.

Roswell Lawrence (MBA, ’09)

“It is safe to say; Piedmont College has been instrumental in my professional career and personal development.”

Earning his MBA from Piedmont College, with an emphasis in financial services in 2009, Dr. Roswell Lawrence, Jr. has continued his education earning a Master of Divinity and a Ph.D. in Educational Administration and Policy. Roswell credits the faculty and administration at Piedmont College for encouraging him to pursue his doctoral degree.

Roswell currently serves as the Assistant to the Vice President for Finance & Administration and Director of Client Relations at the University of Georgia. He has also served as an adjunct professor for Piedmont College on the Athens Campus. Roswell resides in Athens with his wife, Tionya Lawrence, a family nurse practitioner, and their son, Roswell Lawrence, III.

“Dynamic faculty and administrators at Piedmont College engrained the importance of using my education to help the community.”

With a passion for his community, Roswell serves as the Vice Chair of the Implementation Oversight Committee for Envision Athens, Director of Educational Activities for Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, and Hospital Authority Member for Piedmont Athens Regional Medical Center. He is also a member of the board of directors for the UGA Terry College of Business Young Alumni, as well as the Community Outreach, Fundraising, and Audit & Budget Committees for Sigma Pi Phi Fraternity (The Boule’). This is just a small sample of the leadership and service Dr. Roswell Lawrence, Jr. brings to his community.
