Vision, Mission & Values
A Meticulous Plan for Your Success
Piedmont University is very intentional about what we are and how we treat our students. We understand that we fulfill a special role for students and alumni with a wide range of needs and goals, and we are forever grateful for those who choose to chase their academic and life goals with us. We did not become the unique community and special place that we are by accident. It is all part of a measured and deliberate plan based on three things: Vision, Mission, and Values.
Founded in 1897, we are proud to maintain the goals and mindset that has helped us grow from the “little college that could,” to a regional leader in education and athletics. Our future is bright, and we are thrilled anytime a student chooses to join that path. To ensure that we continue our journey forward, our leadership continuously looks at all three aspects of Vision, Mission, and Values and ensures that we are maintaining the lofty standards that we hold for ourselves – all to better serve you.
Piedmont Puts It All Together
The Piedmont University leadership will continue its goal of being a regional leader in academic advancement, as well as providing a community of support for its diverse and expanding student body. It does so by following these standards:

Strategic Plan 2018-23
In 2018, the Piedmont University Board of Trustees approved a strategic plan to chart Piedmont’s course through its 125th anniversary and beyond. Drawing from its mission, vision, and core values, the strategic planning team chose three themes – thriving students, vibrant organization, and compelling story – to drive initiatives from 2018-2023.
The current form of the strategic plan is found in these seven goals:
Goal 1:
Increase Student Enrollment through Strategic Enrollment Planning

Goal 3:

Goal 4:
