Master of Arts (M.A.)

Early Childhood Education:

Recommendation for Georgia P-5 certificates to teach grades P-5.

Middle Grades Education:

The program is designed to meet the needs of those who hold certification in middle grades education and are seeking advanced certification. Completion of the program leads to recommendation for a Georgia Level 5 certificate in Middle Grades Education.

Secondary Education:

Recommendation for Georgia T-5 certificates, grades 6–12, in the following fields: English, history, mathematics, and science.

Special Education General Curriculum (Athens Campus Only):

Recommendation for a Georgia Level 5 Certificate for grades P-12.

Art Education (Demorest Campus Only):

The M.A. program is designed to meet the needs of those professionals holding initial certification in art and who wish to pursue advanced certification in art.

Music Education (Demorest Campus Only):

The M.A. program is designed to meet the needs of those who hold initial certification in music and wish to pursue advanced certification in music.
