The NEGA Regional Science & Engineering Fair will follow a virtual format to ensure the safety of participants and judges. We will utilize the RocketJudge platform and follow the 2021 NEGA RSEF format.
What does this mean for sponsors and competitors? Rather than students presenting their project to the judges in person, competitors will create a 5-minute video explaining their project, research, and findings. Competitors will upload their video, required documents, digital display board, and lab notebook by midnight on Thursday, January 20th. Judges will review these documents before the live interviews on Friday, January 28th, where competitors will virtually interview with a panel of judges. Individual or student teams (all members) must meet with the judges at their scheduled time, as there is no opportunity to reschedule. Competitors and sponsors will receive the student interview link via email by Wednesday, January 26th.
We understand that this change may lead to questions unique to your school or program. For additional assistance, please call 762-338-1030 or email firstname.lastname@example.org.

Thank you for your understanding and flexibility.
The 2022 Regional Fair is scheduled for Friday, January 28, 2022. As always, the goal of the Regional Fair is to showcase the amazing STEM talent in Northeast Georgia and connect tomorrow’s science and engineering leaders with the STEM business and community leaders of today. Piedmont University is working with health and community partners as well as affiliated fairs such as the Georgia Science & Engineering Fair to plan a safe, engaging, and competitive event. Any public school, private school, charter school, or home school in the Northeast Georgia region is eligible to affiliate a local school fair with the Regional Fair. For more information on affiliating your local school’s fair, please email the NEGA Regional Science & Engineering Fair director at email@example.com before October 1, 2022.
Sponsors invest in the future, making the event possible and providing awards and scholarships to encourage the pursuit of careers in science and engineering.
Judges meet and interact with talented middle and high school students who are exploring their passions in science and engineering.
