Health & Human Performance, M.S.

The Health and Human Performance program focuses on how professionals can help individuals achieve optimal health and fitness while leading more balanced and meaningful lives. This cross-disciplinary degree builds on foundation courses in biology, anatomy, physiology, nutrition, fitness assessment, exercise prescription, and community health and welfare to create programming strategies at the individual and community level to prevent and control disease, foster wellness, and enhance physical performance. Upon program completion, students will be prepared to take the CHES (certified health education specialist) and CSCS (certified strength and condition specialist) exams.
