Piedmont College Theatre proudly presents Moss HartÍs ñLight Up the Skyî as itÍs second fall season show. Directed by new Piedmont theatre professor Dr. Lance Miller, ñLight Up the Skyî is the story of  the theatrical debut of a playwrightÍs experimental play. After the opening nightÍs mixed response, the company believes that the show is a flop; so spirits deflate, fingers are pointed, and tempers and voices rise. The following morning, when the reviews come out, the critics have praised the play. After the players find out that the performance was a hit, everyoneÍs energy soars, and the company is ready to perform again. All are excited, except, it seems, for the playwright himself, who is disgusted with the fickle behavior.

ñLight Up the Skyî features the talents of Niyi Oni as playwright Peter Sloan, Ben Myers as his colleague Owen Turner, Amanda Harvey as leading lady Irene Livingston, Amanda Milone as stage mother Stella Livingston, Daniel Blakenship as the ineffectual Tyler Rayburn, Matt Hartwick as director Carleton Fitzgerald, James Rider as money mogul Sidney Black, and Heather Ford as his ice-skating wife, Frances Black.  Other cast members include Levi Pless, Kim Vicos, Karin Christensen, Colleen Hanson, Jeff Kelly, Paul Berrell, and Michele Milone.
