Welcome to the Piedmont Student E-mail System

Piedmont College provides e-mail accounts for all students. You can use this as your main e-mail account or set it to forward messages to your current e-mail provider, such as gmail, Yahoo, or Hotmail.

In order to receive e-mails of important announcements, you must first activate your Piedmont e-mail account by logging on at lions.piedmont.edu

For your first login, your username will be your first initial and last name, plus the month and day of your birthday. For example, if Jane Doe was born on January 6, 1989, her user name would be jdoe0106. Your initial password will be the last four digits of your Student ID Number. In this example, Jane Doe's e-mail address would then be jdoe0106@lions.piedmont.edu.

After logging in for the first time, it is recommended that you take time to change your password. Instructions for changing your password and forwarding messages to another account are below.

1. Click the options button at the top of the main page.

2. Make sure that the Login option is selected.

3. Type your old password in the proper box.

4. Type your new password in the new password box.

5. Type the new password again in the confirm password box.

6. Press the update button to complete the password change.

We also suggest that you set up mail redirection on this account so that any new e-mail that you receive will automatically be forwarded to an e-mail account that you regularly use. To set up redirection, please complete the following steps:

1. Click the options button at the top of the main page.

2. Select the redirection option.

3. Put a check in the box that says “Redirect mail to:”

4. Type your personal email address that you would like your Piedmont College student email forwarded.

Please change your viewable name to reflect your actual name. In order to set up your name please complete the following steps:

1. Click the options button at the top of the main page.

2. Select the settings option.

3. Type your name in the field that says “Friendly Name”.

4. Scroll down to the bottom and press the update button to complete the name change.

You have now completed the steps to set up your Piedmont College student email.
