Welcome to the School of Education at Piedmont College. On behalf of the faculty I would like to encourage you to browse our web page and learn about the different programs we offer leading to certification or advanced degrees in Early Childhood, Middle Grades, Special Education, Art Education, Music Education and the Secondary Education fields of English, Mathematics, Science, and Social Science.

There is a growing recognition of the importance of the view of the classroom community in developing respect for human dignity as well as preparing students to be active participants in their own learning and in democratic communities. The theme around which programs in the School of Education are built is Preparing Proactive Educators to Improve the Lives of Children. Our students learn to be reflective, scholarly, and proactive educators.
