The Torch of Piedmont is the oldest active honor society at Piedmont College. Upcoming Torch Events will be posted when event dates have been confirmed. We hope you will attend whenever possible and help keep this wonderful organization active.

The format for Alumni Weekend at the college has changed, and the activities have been moved to the weekend of graduation in early May, 2013. After some discussion and brainstorming at the annual business meeting on February 2, 2013, it was decided to try make some changes for The Torch of Piedmont as well.
The new plan is to celebrate every 5th year anniversary of The Torch of Piedmont with a reunion breakfast for all members. Next year (2014) will be the 80th anniversary of The Torch, so we will begin then! The breakfast will be held on the 2nd Saturday of April, 2014. Details will follow. We will be soliciting gifts between now and then in order to establish a third scholarship in honor of Dr. Mary Lane, the third Sponsor of The Torch of Piedmont.
Beginning this year (2013) the induction ceremony for new members will follow the format of other honor societies at Piedmont College with an evening induction ceremony/pinning to be held at 5:30 p.m., Thursday, April 11, 2013, in Brooks Hall on the bottom floor of the Chapel on the Demorest campus. Inductees will receive a Certificate of Induction and a Torch pin. All members are invited and urged to attend.
