Criteria for Selection to The Torch

Members are chosen from the women students of Piedmont College and must meet the following criteria:

Must have completed at least four semesters as fulltime students at Piedmont College and must have a minimum cumulative grade point average of 3.9. Transfer students who received an associate degree from a two-year college must complete at least two semesters at Piedmont College and must have a minimum grade point average of 3.9. Members are expected to have character beyond reproach, should possess the ability to be congenial, good personal appearance, interest in fellow students, qualities of leadership, and executive ability. The list of eligible students is submitted to the Officers at the Annual Business Meeting in February and invitations are sent.  New members must accept the invitation in writing and will be inducted at the annual Breakfast meeting.
