Piedmont disaster drill tests student nurses

The drill, a mock explosion at a protest rally, involved 65 victims portrayed by student nursing juniors from the Demorest and Athens campuses, attended by 29 senior student nurses from the Demorest campus. Special effects of injuries and smoke were provided by the PC Theatre Department. The annual drill involved emergency workers from the Demorest Police and Fire departments, Habersham EMS, Habersham County Medical Center, and Campus Police.
