Biology lectures at Piedmont Sept. 9

Dr. David Lepzelter of the Boston University Department of Biomedical Engineering will present two talks at Piedmont College on the use of mathematical models for the study of proteins and cells.

The lectures are free and open to the public. The first talk, “Calculus and Differential Equations Can Cure Cancer,” will be held at 1 p.m. in the Stewart Hall auditorium. Lepzelter will speak again at 3 p.m. on “Modeling Cells to Cure Cancer.”

The lecture is part of the college’s Natural Science Seminar Series, sponsored by the Department of Natural Sciences, the Department of Math and Physics, and the Piedmont Quality Enhancement Program.
