Nathan Stock to speak on Egypt events at Piedmont College
Nathan Stock, a Mideast expert from The Carter Center, will speak at 2 p.m., Monday, April 25, in Stewart Auditorium at Piedmont College in Demorest.
The public is invited to hear Stock, who recently returned from Egypt, talk about the current situation in Egypt and the Mideast. Questions will be welcome after his presentation.
Stock became the assistant director of the Conflict Resolution Program with a focus in Middle East issues at the Carter Center in 2008. Previous to working at the Carter Center, he was in Afghanistan implementing a civil society strengthening program to establish a local non-governmental organization. He also spent two years in the Gaza Strip working with Palestinian NGOs to fundraise and design conflict resolution programs for Palestinian communities.
Stock holds a bachelor’s degree in international relations from Colgate University and a master’s degree in international peace and conflict resolution from American University’s School of International Service.
