PC Wind Ensemble to play April 19

The Piedmont College Wind Ensemble and Jazz Combo will present a free concert at 7:30 p.m., Tuesday, April 19, in the Chapel at the college in Demorest.

Included on the program are works by Anthony Suter, Percy Grainger, Jerry Bock, Morton Gould, and Gustav Mahler, and jazz pieces by Scotty Morris, Billie Holiday, and Duke Ellington. Performers include Jara Myers, soprano; Brett Bellamy, tenor; and the Piedmont Percussion Ensemble.

Members of the ensembles, conducted by Lee Ewing, include flutes: Amy Buice, Sarah Nelms, and Ambeer Lynn Smith; clarinets: Philip Slusser and Benjamin Stegner; bass clarinet, Breigh Redding; saxophone: Breigh Redding; trumpet: Parker Meadows; trombone: Lee Ewing; tuba: Duval Carter; percussion: Katie Clements, Nathan Durant, and Taylor Sexton; and piano: Nathan Durant and Barbara Luhn.
