Atlanta Boy Choir to present holiday performance in Piedmont Chapel
For the second year in a row, the world-renowned Atlanta Boy Choir is traveling to Piedmont College’s Demorest campus to perform a holiday concert for the college and community.
The Boy Choir will perform at 4 p.m., Dec. 12, in the Center for Worship and Music. The concert is free, and a collection will be taken for the group.
The Atlanta Boy Choir is comprised of boys aged 5 to 14. Maestro Fletcher Wolfe, founding director and conductor, has led the choir all across the United States and around the world, including Austria, Germany, Ukraine, Russia, France and Spain.
Wolfe founded the famous choir more than half a century ago, and since that time they have sung for Popes, Presidents and many heads of States. Appearances in major world festivals as well as concerts given in the world’s great concert halls like Vienna’s Musikverein and Russia’s St. Petersburg Great hall of the Philharmonic have brought much renown and attention to Atlanta and the State of Georgia.
