Piedmont Chamber SingersPC Chamber Singers to perform fall concert

The Piedmont College Chamber Singers will perform their fall concert in the college Chapel at 7:30 p.m., Nov. 11. The fall concert theme is “Generation to Generation,” which explores songs with references to generations and songs that come from old texts with new contemporary adaptations by new composers.

The selected ensemble, directed by Dr. Wallace Hinson and accompanied by Louise Bass on organ, will perform works by Giovanni Pierluigi da Palestrina, Johannes Brahms, and Benjamin Britten.

The Chamber Singers perform a wide variety of literature from Renaissance to 21stcentury pieces. The group is also known for performing ethnic choral music, contemporary choral music, folksongs, and spirituals. The Chamber Singers are a touring group and have performed concerts across the U.S. and Canada.
