Experience Mama's Blue Dress Friday, July 12!
Mark your calendars and get ready for the sensational summer sounds of Mama's Blue Dress. At 7:30 p.m., July 12, this exciting vocal group will be performing at the Arrendale Amphitheatre on the Piedmont College campus in Demorest.
Mama's Blue Dress, known for their airtight harmonies and vocal chemistry "with a touch of soul," has quickly earned a reputation as "the" up and coming all female Country quartet. Each member is an accomplished songwriter, vocalist, and multi-instrumentalist in their own right. The combination of talents is truly extraordinary.
Members of Mama's Blue Dress include Nicole Witt, Vanessa Olivarez, Elizabeth Elkins, and Andrea Young. They have written songs for numerous country stars including George Strait and "Sugarland." They have also performed with stars like Bo Bice and Lady Antebellum. The group and their CD "Mama's Blue Dress" were recently featured on WSM Radio's "Coffee, Country & Cody."
Since their first show in January 2012, the band has played to sold-out venues across the Southeast, often receiving standing ovations for their dynamic performances, stellar songwriting, and gorgeous harmonies.
Make sure you clear your calendar for Friday night to experience Mama's Blue Dress in person at Piedmont College's Arrendale Amphitheatre. General admission for the concert is $7.00. Piedmont students, faculty and staff are admitted free.
The Arrendale Amphitheater is located at 359 College Drive, adjacent to the Swanson Center for Performing Arts and Communications. The venue features open-air stadium seating with plenty of room to bring your favorite folding chair or cushions and cooler. No alcoholic beverages are allowed.
