Hope Menzel
Associate Professor of Mathematics
Department Chair, Mathematics and Physics

M.S. in Mathematics, Mississippi State University, 2000
B.A. in Mathematics, Mississippi State University, 1998

My primary teaching responsibilities are College Algebra, Elementary Statistics, Discrete Mathematics, Calculus I, and Introduction to College Life.  I have also taught Linear Algebra, Elementary Numerical Methods, and Survey of Higher Mathematics.

My interest is in math education for non-math majors and for first and second year math majors.  For non-math majors I strive to help them develop math confidence and competence.  For first and second year math majors, my goal is to give them a strong foundation on which to build their further exploration of mathematics.

I serve on the Faculty Senate and as the Assistant Sponsor of Alpha Chi National Scholastic Honor Society.  I am a member of the Mathematical Association of America and the Association for Women in Mathematics.
