Undergraduate Financial Aid
Federal Loan Requests
Piedmont College will process student loan requests for graduate and undergraduate students before and during each semester. Loan requests completed before the start of a semester are processed and funds are disbursed within the first 60-90 days of each term. Requests made after the first day of classes may not be disbursed within this time frame.
Student loan requests for any current term (in session) must be submitted to the Financial Aid Office by the deadline dates listed below. Loan requests received after the deadline cannot be accepted and students will need to make alternate arrangements to receive necessary funds.
Loan Request Deadlines
| Fall Semester | October 1 |
| Spring Semester | March 1 |
| Summer Semester | June 18 |
To request a loan or adjustment, complete our Loan Adjustment Request Form prior to the above listed deadlines.
First-time borrowers must complete both the Entrance Counseling and a Master Promissory Note at www.studentloans.gov to accept student loans.
Parent Loans for Undergraduate Students
Parents of dependent students who wish to request a Parent Loan for Undergraduate Students (PLUS) may do so by submitting a Parent Loan Request Form. Applications for any given semester must be submitted prior to the loan request deadline of that semester. The parent requesting the PLUS loan must also complete a Master Promissory Note as part of the “PLUS Request Process” at www.studentloans.gov.
