Maria Fisk, DNP, APRN, BC
Dr. Fisk teaches primarily psychiatric/mental health nursing. She also teaches in the leadership/management course and assists with clinical internship and capstone requirements for the senior nursing students.
Dr. Fisk is a member of the American Psychiatric Nurses Association, the American Nurses Association, Sigma Theta Tau International, and, at Piedmont College, the RH Daniel School of Nursing Honor Society. She serves on the General Education Committee for Piedmont College.
Dr. Fisk is nationally certified as a Clinical Specialist in Child and Adolescent Psychiatric and Mental Health Nursing. She has numerous years of experience working with children and adolescents with mental health and substance abuse issues. She serves as a consultant for restraint and seclusion use and practices at a local psychiatric and substance abuse facility.
Dr. Fisk received her BSN, her MSN in Psychiatric-Mental Health Nursing, and her DNP from the Medical College of Georgia.
