Elizabeth F. Baugus-Wellmeier, RN MSN CCRN
Professor Baugus-Wellmeier is responsible for teaching junior nursing students Adult Health Medical Surgical Nursing.
Professor Baugus-Wellmeier is a member of the American Association of Critical Care Nurses and the Honor Society of Nursing, Sigma Theta Tau. In addition, Professor Baugus-Wellmeier teaches CPR to middle school students and CPR/First Aid to their teachers.
For more than thirty years, Professor Baugus-Wellmeier has practice critical care nursing in Atlanta and Athens Georgia. During this time, she has served in positions of unit management, nursing education, and direct patient care of the critically ill adult. For over twenty years, she has taught classes on multiple subjects related to critical care nursing and is an instructor for the American Heart Association’s Advanced Cardiac Life Support and Basic Life Support courses. She has also co-authored a paper on the clinical excellence of the Cardiac ICU in which she has practiced for over 20 years. This paper won the Cardiac ICU the Silver Beacon Award for clinical excellence awarded by the American Association of Critical-Care Nurses.
