Dr. Mary Edmond
Assistant Professor of Sociology
B.S. in History/Technology/Society from The Georgia Institute of Technology (2006); M.A. in Sociology from the University of Georgia (2009); Ph.D. in Sociology from the University of Georgia (2013).
Dr. Edmond’s teaching interests include Crime & Delinquency, Deviance, Gender & Sexuality, Marriage & Family, Drugs & Alcohol, Sociology of Mental Health & Wellness, and Research Methods.
Dr. Edmond serves as Faculty Chair of the Conduct Council.
Dr. Edmond conducts quantitative research in the areas of crime, delinquency, mental health, and service delivery in substance use disorder rehabilitation. She has published work in the journals of Society and Mental Health, Adult Development, and Violence and Victims. She also consults with the National Treatment Center Study at the University of Georgia.
