Dr. Taylor provides oversight and hospitality for the annual Piedmont Conference on Religion and the Liberal Arts, in which she also participates as a speaker, preacher, and workshop leader.  As the Butman Professor of Religion, her primary service to the College is making its mission known to audiences nationwide though her writing and public speaking.  She also speaks to local and visiting groups such as the Sautee Nacoochee Community Association, the Boy Scouts, the Georgia Center for the Book, the United Church of Christ, and the National Association of Congregational Christian Churches.

While Taylor teaches a range of introductory courses, her particular interests are world religions and Christian origins, both of which offer students opportunities to re-view and re-think prior assumptions about their own faith and the faith of their neighbors.  In addition to her teaching responsibilities at Piedmont, she writes and speaks on the topic of religion & spirituality in contemporary North American culture.
