Dr. Hodgens is co-director and advisor for the English Creative Writing Track. She is a member of the Lillian E. Smith Steering Committee, the General Education Assessment Committee, and the QEP-SACS Steering Committee, and she is faculty sponsor for Sigma Tau Delta, the international English Honor Society. She advises English majors and non-traditional freshmen, acts as a capstone evaluator for the MA/MAT program, and frequently serves as sponsor for Travel Study courses in England, Scotland, and Ireland.
Apart from teaching and committee work, Dr. Hodgens offers Journal Writing classes at Cedar Heights Wellness Center in Clarkesville. Her recent publications include poems in the new online journal Flycatcher.
