Courses

The major in criminal justice consists of 39 semester hours (13 courses). The Senior Seminar course must be taken as a Criminal Justice course for the major.

All majors are required to take the following courses:

Research Methods and Analysis
Policing
Crime and Delinquency
Adjudication Process
Punishment in the United States
Criminal Law and Procedure
Internship (3 hours)
Senior Seminar
Elementary Statistics

Students must select three courses (9 semester hours) from the following list:

Criminal Investigation
Victimology
Internship
Homeland Security and Terrorism
Selected Topics (related to criminal justice)
Abnormal Psychology
Ethnic and Racial Minorities
