William Gabelhausen

B.F.A in Theatre from Illinois Wesleyan University
M.F.A in Acting from Pennsylvania State University
M.Ed in Secondary Education from the University of Georgia

Mr. Gabelhausen primarily teaches courses in the arena of Acting and Directing.  These courses include Fundamentals of Acting, Advanced Acting, Voice and Diction, Directing, Stage Movement and Dance, Tap Dance, Auditioning and Professional Development and Choreography for the Stage.  He has also taught two Maymester courses in New York City.  

Mr. Gabelhausen is a member of Actor’s Equity Association, Screen Actor’s Guild, Georgia Theatre Association, American Alliance of Theatre in Education, and the Southeastern Theatre Conference.  He has created and/or participated in fundraisers for AIDS Athens, North Georgia Food Bank and Habitat for Humanity. 

Mr. Gabelhausen serves as the Department Chair for Theatre and coordinator of the undergraduate Drama Education (Teaching Certificate in Drama for grades K -12) and the Post-Baccalaureate Drama Certification Only program.
