Piedmont College will celebrate Commencement 2014 with three days of events and ceremonies at the campus in Demorest May 1–3.
At 6 p.m., Thursday, May 1, in the Swanson Center, Piedmont's Daniel School of Nursing will present pins to 38 graduating student nurses.
On Friday, May 2, in the Chapel at 5 p.m., the college will hold a Baccalaureate service for all undergraduates. The guest speaker will be Dr. James Gertmenian, senior minister of Plymouth Congregational Church in Minneapolis, Minn.
Following Baccalaureate, undergraduates and their families are invited to an alfresco dinner on the Quadrangle at 6 p.m.
Also on Friday, at 7 p.m. in Brookside Dining Room, the Piedmont College Letter Club (P-Club) will host an awards ceremony and dinner for all senior student-athletes.
On Saturday, May 3, the Commencement ceremony for all undergraduates will begin at 10 a.m. in the Mize Center. The Commencement speaker will be Dr. Jamil Zainaldin, president of the Georgia Humanities Council.
A separate Commencement ceremony for all graduate students will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, also in the Mize Center. The Commencement speaker will be Will Schofield, Superintendent of the Hall County School System.
The Piedmont College Bookstore will be open for special hours during Friday and Saturday of Commencement.
