Students in the mass communications program have the opportunity to learn more than 20 different software applications on both PCs and MACs before they graduate. They have exclusive access to dedicated mass communnication department media labs where these applications and computers are available for their use.

Final Cut Pro Adobe After Effects

Final Cut Pro and After Effects editing programs are taught in both television and film classes.

EZ News software is used for creating scripts and run-downs for TV Piedmont programs as well as character generation and teleprompting.

Sound Forge audio editing systems are taught in the radio broadcast classes. Sound Forge

In Special Topics: Web Applications, students learn to create Web sites for various media using Macromedia Dreamweaver and Flash.

Adobe Studio

In Special Topics: Layout and Design, they learn layout and image programs in Adobe Creative Suite including InDesign, Acrobat, Illustrator and Photoshop.
