Our Mission:

To develop student leaders who are ethically, globally and technologically adept storytellers with broad-based media and management skills.

World

The department supports an interdisciplinary course of study of the evolving world of mass communications, taking into account the economic, social, political, and technological impacts of global networks and media.

Interdisciplinary Focus

Students rotate through a course of study that includes the following: TV, Radio, Journalism, Telecommunications, Advertising, Public Relations, Web Design, Layout and Design and additional mass communications speciality areas. This approach reflects the convergence occuring in the mass media industry.  TECHNOLOGY

Students have the opportunity to learn more than 22 different software applications in our program before they graduate including:SoundForge, Adobe Creative Suite, Final Cut Pro, database management and Microsoft Project as well as other applications.
