To be completely honest, before participating in collegiate debate here at Piedmont, I had no idea what the whole ordeal was about. Now that I have basked in the presence of many debate tournaments, I am hooked. Ha! To answer the question on why I debate, as odd as this may sound; due to the large amount of work that has to be done, I do it for the pure enjoyment of it. Or shall I say the pure enjoyment that is often displayed on trips. I also do debate to enhance my public speaking skills of the profession in law. Amazingly, I enjoy every aspect of debating and wouldn't trade my experiences for anything.
