Atlanta Boy ChoirAtlanta Boy Choir here December 13

The world-renowned Atlanta Boy Choir is traveling to Piedmont College’s Demorest campus and will perform a free concert for the college and community.

The concert will be held at 4 p.m., Sunday, Dec. 13, in the college chapel at the Center for Worship and Music located at 165 Central Avenue in Demorest. Dr. James Mellichamp, Piedmont’s Provost and internationally acclaimed organist, will accompany the group on Piedmont’s Sewell Organ. The Boy Choir and the Atlanta Boy Choir Alumni will perform a variety of pieces, including spirituals and Hanukkah and Christmas music.

The Atlanta Boy Choir is comprised of boys ages 5 to 14. Maestro Fletcher Wolfe, founding director and conductor, has led the choir across the United States and around the world to countries including Austria, Germany, Ukraine, Russia, France and Spain. The choir has performed in front of presidents, popes, and crowned heads of state since its beginning 52 seasons ago.
