Graduate Admissions Requirements

MBA in Financial Services, Health Care Management, or Managerial Leadership

  1. Completed MBA Graduate Application
  2. Application fee of $30.00 (non-refundable); after the published application deadline, the fee will be $100.
  3. All official and final transcripts from every college attended. 
  4. Three professional references on Piedmont College reference forms. These should be mailed to Graduate Studies from the person completing the reference.
  5. Resume’
  6. Current job description
  7. Acceptable test score from the GMAT, GRE or Miller Analogies Test. Test scores must be sent to Graduate Studies from the testing service.

Master of Arts in Teaching for Initial Certification

  1. Completed Education Graduate Application
  2. Application fee of $30.00 (non-refundable); after the published application deadline, the fee will be $100.
  3. All official and final transcripts from every college attended. 
  4. Three professional references on Piedmont College reference forms. These should be mailed to Graduate Studies from the person completing the reference.
  5. GRE general test score (800 minimum of combined verbal and quantitative sections), or Miller Analogies Test (374 minimum scaled score).  Test scores must be sent to Graduate Studies from the testing service (More information).
  6. Personal Affirmation Form
  7. Applicants for the Master of Arts in Teaching for Music Education must submit a video tape, or perform in person, an audition for the Director of the degree before acceptance can be considered.
  8. Applicants for the Master of Arts in Teaching for Art Education must submit a portfolio of art work for approval by the Director of the degree before acceptance can be considered. 

Master of Arts for Advanced Certification

  1. Completed Education Graduate Application
  2. Application fee of $30.00 (non-refundable); after the published application deadline, the fee will be $100.
  3. All official and final transcripts from every college attended. 
  4. Three professional references on Piedmont College reference forms. One reference must be from supervising administrator, one from a former professor or SDU instructor, and one from another professional in education.   These must be mailed to Graduate Studies from the person completing the reference.
  5. Copy of current clear, renewable Level 4 teaching certificate.
  6. Personal Affirmation Form
  7. GRE general test score (800 minimum of combined verbal and quantitative sections), or Miller Analogies Test (374 minimum scaled score).  Test scores must be sent to Graduate Studies from the testing service (More information).
  8. If the applicant has completed three or more years of teaching out of the last five years with a clear, renewable teaching certificate in a PSC approved accredited public or private school, the test score is not required providing the applicant completes the Professional Admissions Option. The Professional Admissions Option requires that the applicant complete the Professional Admission Option form and attach to it photocopies of the most recent three annual evaluations. Note: The Professional Admissions Option is not available for application to the Master of Arts for Advanced Certification in Special Education/General Curriculum

Education Specialist in Instruction

  1. Completed Education Graduate Application
  2. Application fee of $30.00 (non-refundable); after the published application deadline, the fee will be $100.
  3. All official and final transcripts from every college attended for both the bachelors and masters degrees. 
  4. Three professional references on Piedmont College reference forms. One reference must be from supervising administrator, one from a former professor or SDU instructor, and one from another professional in education. These must be mailed to Graduate Studies from the person completing the reference.
  5. Copy of current clear, renewable Level 5 T, S, or L certificate. 
  6. GRE general test score or Miller Analogies Test score or other approved standardized test score taken for admission to graduate level study.    Test scores should be sent to Graduate Studies from the testing service. Graduates from Piedmont College Master of Arts for Advanced Certification are exempt from this requirement (More information).
  7. Verification of Professional Experience form with photocopies of the two most recent years annual evaluations attached.
  8. Letter of Intent following guidelines outlined on the Letter of Intent form.
  9. Professional Activities Resume following guidelines outlined on the Professional Activities Resume form.
  10. Verification of technology competence by submission of graduate level education technology course on transcripts submitted with the application, or copy of INTEC certificate, or submission of completed and signed Assessment Instrument of Instructional Media and Technology Skills.

Post-baccalaureate or Post-masters certification programs

  1. Completed Education Graduate Application
  2. Application fee of $30.00 (non-refundable); after the published application deadline, the fee will be $100.
  3. All official and final transcripts from every college attended. 
  4. Three professional references on Piedmont College reference forms. These should be mailed to Graduate Studies from the person completing the reference.

Non-degree Graduate Studies
