The mission of the Student Employment Program at Piedmont College is
to provide students a meaningful work experience aimed at enhancing college
and career goals, while providing financial support.
The Student Employment Program assists the college and community
businesses by developing employment opportunities that will allow students
to earn money, extend academic preparation, and explore career objectives
through college work experience
GENERAL INFORMATION
Piedmont College has two programs for students who desire
to earn part of their college expenses by working at jobs on campus.
The Federal Work Study Program (FWS) is funded in large part by the
federal government, and financial need must be evident to qualify.
For students ineligible for FWS, Piedmont College offers a Work Aid
Program. Earnings from this program will be used to meet expenses directly
related to the student’s college attendance.
Students generally work up to 20 hours per week during periods
of enrollment.
Wage rate is $5.15 for undergraduate students and $7.81 for
graduate students.
HOW TO APPLY
The Student Employment Program is coordinated through the
Office of Financial Aid located on the second floor in Daniel Hall
room 202.
Student Assistant Applications for Part-time Employment are
available from the Office of Financial Aid, or you may download a form (Requires Acrobat Reader).
Applications may be submitted in person or by mail to the Office of
Financial Aid, Post Office Box 10, Demorest GA, 30535.
Applications remain on file and are forwarded to departments
for consideration and interviews as jobs become available. Jobs on
campus are subject to availability and not guaranteed.
