The Piedmont College Chorale and Orchestra will feature the works of Robert Frost in its Spring Concert at 7:30 p.m., Saturday, April 27, in the college Chapel in Demorest. Admission is free and everyone is invited.
Directed by Dr. Lauren Ringwall, the Chorale includes some 100 singers from Piedmont and the northeast Georgia community. The concert will also feature the Dawson County High School Chamber Singers.
Selections include "Frostiana: Seven Country Songs" by Randall Thompson, based on the poetry of Robert Frost. Also included will be works by René Clausen, Aaron Copland, and three songs arranged by Robert Shaw and Alice Parker.
