Purcell Hall serves as the residence hall for men. It is named in honor of Dr. and Mrs. Claude Purcell. Dr. Purcell, alumnus and trustee of Piedmont College, was Georgia Superintendent of Schools (1958-1966); his wife, Merle Moss Purcell, was also a Georgia educator.
