Dusty Rogers, Assistant Coach
Email: mrogers1101@lions.piedmont.edu

Dusty Rogers will join the Piedmont College men's and women's golf staffs beginning in the 2006-2007 season. Rogers, who has spent the past season as the inaugural head men's golf coach at nearby Truett-McConnell College, will assist head golf coach Lee Glenn in all facets of the school's nationally-ranked golf programs.

This past season, Rogers led the Truett-McConnell men's team to a top-50 ranking in GolfStat.com's National Junior College Athletic Association poll. Additionally, his freshman class finished the year ranked 15th nationally in the GolfStat's Freshman Impact Class Ratings.

His team finished the season with a runner-up finish at the Georgia Junior College Athletic Association (GJCAA) Region XVII Tournament.

"It has always been a dream of mine to coach collegiate golf. I had the privilege of living that dream at Truett-McConnell, but to be able to come back and coach at your alma mater, that is truly special. I am honored and blessed that Piedmont College has selected me to be a part of their golf programs. I am excited to see where Coach Glenn and I can take the program in the years ahead," stated Rogers.

Rogers was Coach Glenn's second graduate of the men's golf program and was a two-year letter-winner for the Lions. As a player, he earned one tournament victory (The Orchard Spring 2004 Collegiate Invitational) and earned the team's Coach's Award in his final season of intercollegiate competition.

"Dusty is great addition to our programs. He will allow both programs new opportunities and challenges and will aid in continuing both teams' climb to the national tournament. It will be his job to produce quality golfers and graduates in his own mold," stated Coach Glenn.
